Grizzly Bear In Bus Wreck. They’re Fine

The accident in Germany did force them to miss a gig in Munich with Wilco. Thank God though, everyone is fine.

Bruce Says Hey Ohio… In Michigan

Thanks to Spinal Tap Ohio seems to be the default location for musicians who can’t remember where they are. Friday Bruce Springsteen made several Buckeye State references during a show in…. Auburn Hills, Michigan. We’re based in Columbus so I can tell you that Ohio references in Michigan this close to the Ohio State/Michigan game is a gaffe you don’t want to make.

Bonus Coverage. Here it is:

Fifteen tracks they say.

Brit Glam Legends Ready BBC Set

Other than a brief flirt with U.S. fame 25 years ago, Slade never made much of an impact on these shores. Their two-disc BBC set is a great way to get caught up.

Bonus Coverage. Slade starred as the band Flame in this 1974 flick “In Flame.” It’s a gritty and darkly humorous look at making it in the biz circa 1974. Grab it if you can find it:

The Fall Prep “Saving Grace” Reissue

The great Manchester band have dozens of albums, and the 1985 opus “This Nations Saving Grace” is perhaps the best.

Bonus Coverage. The Fall are the definition of an acquired taste. This is a good way to find out if they’re to your liking:
