Buffalo Killers

The first artist I thought of when checking out The Buffalo Killers was Neil Young.

That isn’t the whole story, but it’s a good place to start. The Cincinnati trio slide over to Athens, Ohio for a show tonight at The Union.

Jumper K.O. say their goal is getting back to square one.

Square one is good ole pogo punk rock. Jumper K.O. head up a three band throw down at The Tabernacle in Blacksburg, Virginia Friday.

If you’ve been thinking about starting a metal band, and making the Japanese Shamisen, or three stringed lute, the core instrument of that band…. Too late.

California’s God Of Shamisen have beaten you to it. I know, what are you gonna do? Tonight God Of Shamisen headline The Wormhole in Savannah, Georgia.

Five Times August is Dallas singer/songwriter Brad Skistmas….

Brad’s a good guy… Evidence? He’s handing over half the profits from his forthcoming new album to charity. You can pre order from his myspace, and you can see him live tonight in Norman, Oklahoma at Opolis.

Many years ago Maklak’s Seattle forefathers married metal crunch with a punk spirit.

Today the Northwest trio carries on that tradition. Tonight Maklak slam into Vega’s in Sacramento.

And Alaskans always appreciate when cool artists make the long trip north.

Sam Beam aka Iron And Wine has done so. The acclaimed Sub Pop records artist is playing The Wendy Williamson Auditorium in Anchorage Friday only.
