Terror Tractor

Ok first of all didn’t the killers in Truman Capote’s “In Cold Blood” live in Kansas?

That might help explain farm boy thrashers Terror Tractor. Bonus points for their John Deere inspired skeleton logo too. Put on your stompin’ boots and duck into PJ’s in Manhattan, Kansas Saturday.

David Baron David Baron’s self penned bio is quite amusing.

Born way after his older brothers, the Florida native was given a lot of freedom as a kid, and says he rebelled by “becoming a chubby piano player who starred in all the high school musicals.” Today Baron is a classic drenched pop rock artist of note. He’s at The Mercury Lounge in New York Sunday.

Saturday is the final night of the Oxford, Mississippi Music Festival.

Gunboat , Rocket 88 , and Kill The Ego are among the locals showcasing. Find all you need at Oxford Music Festival dot com.

It’s in Shelli Coe’s blood we know that.

Miss Coe’s father is outlaw country legend David Allen Coe. With her full band behind Coe performs at Headhunters in Austin, Texas Sunday.

San Francisco alt rockers Low Red Land are relentless.

The band always has something new out, and they’re always playing somewhere…. They’re swinging through the inland empire this weekend and on into next week. Saturday the play Neurolux in Boise with their friends and ours Finn Riggins.

And we’ll be hooking up with Americana artist Tim Easton for an interview in a couple of weeks.

The Columbus, Ohio native now lives somewhere out in the California desert now. Tonight his tour reaches The Tractor Tavern in Seattle.
