happy new yearz....

Nastee

Back in the day, if a New York based hip hop project was coming together, chances were good Nastee was there somewhere…. Engineering, producing, djing… He’s been on projects Busta, Mobb Deep, Noreaga, even Fifty Cent.

By 2003 Nastee needed some air… Eventually he drifted to Vermont, but hasn’t left he music behind. New York’s loss is your gain tonight at Red Square in Burlington, Vermont.

One reviewer called Autumn Project “the masters of instrumental post rock.”

Autumn Project pack a visceral wallup. The Iowa band headline Vaudeville Mews in Des Moines.

Brantley Fletcher is <a href=http://www.myspace.com/plundershop Plundershop.

You know how when you rub your eyes really hard and everything is blurry, and sort of fizzy looking. Well if the same thing happened to your ears, it would sound like Plundershop. Plundershop play Hunter Gatherer in Columbia, South Carolina tonight.

And we’re right smack dab in the middle of the Oxford, Mississippi Music Festival this weekend.

Among those playing tonight…. Colour Revolt , Charlie Mars and The Cooters … You best get to Oxford Music Festival dot com for all the particulars.

New Mexico metallic punks The Sleestaks take their name from the Land of The Lost reptile humanoid creatures.

I’m pretty certain these Sleestaks drink more than any reptile humanoids you might find. Describing themselves as “Waylon Jennings meeting the Misfits at a Foghat concert” I’m pretty certain that if you stumble into The Atomic Cantina in Albuquerque tonight you’ll have a good ole time.

And Spokane singer/songwriter Kristen Marlo is playing her final Spokane show.

On her myspace she doesn’t tell you where she’s going though… Ask her Friday at The Caterina Winery.
