Heather Evans

Heather Evans and your Palestra Music crew have been working on a little project.

It’s a video for the song you’re hearing “Priceless.” When we’re finished we hope it will help highlight the tragedy and outrage of human trafficking. Tonight the hugely talented Heather Evans will play that and a bunch of other great songs at The Thirsty Ear in Columbus, Ohio.

The roots… of roots reggae band Soja stretch down to grade school….

In high school the friends discovered that Jamaican sound and that was it… Just this week Soja released their third album “Born In Babylon.” Tonight the Virginia five piece plays behind it at Is Venue in Charlottesville.

Detroit pop punk band The Boys Of Summer are actually winding down their tour before the summer ends.

Find out how to download their song “Indiana” for free from their myspace, and then catch em while you can in Raleigh tonight at The Brewery in Raleigh.

The Louisiana Hellbenders are like a good gumbo… There’s a bit of this and a bit of that.

Rock-a-billy, Boxcar Willie train music, Zydeco…. It’s a good time…. Hoist your tall boy at The Apple Barrel in New Orleans tonight.

The High Strung say bullocks to the wink and the nudge, tired hipsters, and cheap self consciousness.

They take life as they see it, and use that as a launch pad for their smart as hell music. The High Strung are winding down their summer tour, which was, for the most part of libraries…. This afternoon their at the foot of majestic mountains at The Teton Community Library in Jackson, Wyoming.

Eugene’s On The Tundra haven’t been together a year yet.

And the instrumental band are celebrating their debut CD. Grab one and celebrate their sonic explorations at Sam Bond’s Garage in Eugene tonight.
