The Casualties

New York Oi boys The Casualties have a live DVD coming in September.

They’d love you to buy one, but if you skip seeing them live so you can watch them on TV, well that could earn you a kick in the crotch. Tonight live in front of your naked steaming eyes at Bernie’s in Columbus, Ohio.

Delaware duo The Sky Drops may be a man and a woman, but one reviewer called them “the shoegaze Everly Brothers.”

That’s a great way to put it actually. The songs have plenty of atmosphere, but never at the expense of harmony and melody. Get all wrapped up in The Sky Drops tonight in Pittsburgh at The Smiling Moose.

Those who could roust themselves from the sack early enough in Chicago we’re rewarded at Lollapalooza.

Ezra Furman And The Harpoons played before noon on day 2, and the early birds report they sounded great. Thursday they’ll play for the night people at Local 506 in Chapel Hill.

In New Orleans you never hear the words “there’s nothing to do.”

If however those words leave your lips today, we direct you to Dragon’s Den where the live hip hop crew Floop[y] HEad hold their weekly “hip hop house party” tonight and every Thursday.

Fresh from opening a couple of Flaming Lips shows this week, Ghostland Observatory return to the top of the bill.

The Texas musical partners drop in to Birch North Park Theater in San Diego Thursday.

Moonalice say they’re not a band, they’re descendants of an ancient tribe.

Digging a bit deeper we find that members have played with everyone from Jefferson Airplane, to Bob Dylan, to Phil Lesh, to The Saturday Night Live House band. Gather round at Wow Hall in Eugene tonight.
