Say what you will about Phish, their comeback has been going gang busters. Now their first new album in five years has a release date.

Does God hate Aerosmith?

Jacko update: Let the profiteering begin.

Rapper C-Murder going down for A-Murder. Well at least he still has his street cred.

Ron Wood joined Pearl Jam on stage in the UK last night.

Zepp, Foo, Queens super group releases online teaser. It’s called “Nobody Loves Me And Neither Do I.” Not a bad title. Even better? Video from their live debut at The Metro in Chicago Sunday night:

The thing that’s cool about Dave Grohl is he’s still approaches everything he does like the teenage rock fan he is.

Beck interviews Will Ferrell.

After Lollapalooza Sunday a man was arrested for punching a Police Horse. In honor I present to you Alex Karas as “Mongo” in the 1980 cinematic masterpiece “Blazing Saddles.”

This sucks. The founder of Matador Records…. and going way back Homestead Gerald Cosley saw his house burn down over the weekend. Thankfully no one was injured.

If memory serves, and as I like to say it often doesn’t, Terry Gilliam’s “Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus” had been in development for years. In fact I think it was mentioned in Barney Hoskins’ fine Waits Biography “Lowside Of the Road.” Well it’s not only finished, but we have a trailer:over the weekend, Depeche Mode were in Crackerjack form Friday night at Lollapalooza. It must have taken a lot out of them.

Tom Waits as The Devil? I’m there. Oh by the way the late Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell, Jude Law and Christopher Plummer are in it too.

As I reported
