The Lonely H

If you’re the sort that wishes bands would just make good old fashioned rock records, you need to know about The Lonely H.

The members of this Western Washington State four piece are barely 20 years old, but sound like they just stepped out of 1974. Tonight they hit Cicero’s in St. Louis.

Alt band All Left Out have opened shows for Rage Against The Machine and Fall Out Boy… and they’ve wowed the crowds at Warped Tour…

And they’ve accomplished all that despite having to come all the way from New Zealand to do it. See the kiwi lads before they go home in a few days. Tonight they headline The Sidebar in Baltimore.

I get why they call themselves The Octopus Project.

The Austin band has their tenticles stretching in at least eight different directions. Their Wednesday tour stop is Cat’s Cradle in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

We don’t know how Alyse Black’s movie will end, but it has a beginning.

That would be Alyse singing for change at Seattle’s Pike Place Market and being discovered by the leader of local band. From there Miss Black decided the stage was preferable to a fish market. Her second album drops in October. Her tour begins tonight in Oklahoma City at Blue Door.

San Diego’s Roxy Monoxide make me think of Blondie.

Well a glam rock Blondie anyway. The band has just one show left this summer, and it’s tonight at Beauty Bar in San Diego.

Back in the day The Accused coined the term Splatterrock to define their sound.

Splatterrock as in horror movie songs set to a distilled brew of punk and metal mayhem. Tonight the Seattle legends open for Sunn at Neumos.
